INSIGHTS FROM MY WRITING
------------------------------------------------------------
WHAT IS THIS WORLD?
"And do not be conformed to this world..." (Romans 12:2).
We learned that we are not to let this world "Squeeze us into
its own mould" (Phillips). The words "this world" do not refer
to our physical world –- there is an entirely different Greek
word to describe the earth. The words would be better
translated "this age."
R.C. Trench provides a lengthy but expressive definition of
"this age", which clarifies the word. "We speak of...'the
age'... All that floating mass of thoughts, opinions,
maxims, speculations, hopes, impulses, aims, aspirations, at
any time current in the world, which it may be impossible to
seize and accurately define, being the moral or immoral
atmosphere... all this is included in the [age]" (Synonyms of
the New Testament, page 204).
Verses 34 and 35 of Luke 20 speak of two ages: "And Jesus
answered and said to them, 'The sons of this age marry and are
given in marriage. But those who are counted worthy to attain
that age, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry
nor are given in marriage'."
I am not to be conformed to this age, but there is a better
age coming. Galatians 1:4 speaks of Christ, "who gave himself
for our sins, that He might deliver us from the present evil
age, according to the will of our God and Father." What does
this mean to me? "This world" means the "present evil age" -–
the world around me tugging and pulling at me to conform to
its ways. (From "Renewing Your Mind", Chapter 2, by Peter
Wade, adapted by Hildy Matthews.)
AFFIRMATION: God commands me not to conform to this world.
Each day I remain alert to the subtle ways Satan tries to lure
me away from the simplicity that is in Christ.

INSIGHTS FROM EVERY BOOK OF THE BIBLE (G. Campbell Morgan)
------------------------------------------------------------
G. Campbell Morgan was a well-known preacher and writer of
over 60 books from the first half of the 20th century. In each
issue he gives a comment from one verse in every chapter of
the Bible. We continue with Paul's second letter to the
Corinthians.
"As though God were entreating by us; we beseech..."
(II Corinthians 5:20).
What urgency breathes through these words! The subject is that
of the reconciliation made possible between man and God,
because "God was in Christ reconciling the world unto
Himself." That word of reconciliation is committed to those
called to serve Christ. They are ambassadors on behalf of
Christ. Therefore the urgency. They must deliver their message
in a way worthy of the One Who sends them "As though God were
intreating by us; we beseech..." That was Paul's conception of
the way to preach Christ; and it is manifest in all the
records we have of his journeyings, his spoken messages, as
well as in his letters. The marvel and the glory of the Divine
provision, and the terror and peril of human need, were such
as to make anything in the nature of indifference to results,
or coolness in presentation, impossible. Every call was a
beseeching.
Moreover he dared to say that in this attitude he was
representing God; and every soul who knows anything of the
real meaning of the Cross, knows that this is a true word. God
does not treat human salvation as a matter about which He can
be indifferent or careless. The Cross is His passion, His
earnestness; may we not dare to say, that by which He entreats
men to be reconciled. In face of that, what can be worse than
to declare His message as though it were not a message vital,
tremendous, demanding all passion and power in its delivery?
All this makes us think! And perhaps the thinking is better
done alone!

INSIGHTS FROM OTHERS
------------------------------------------------------------
Praise Him, Peter! I've been composing an email to you on and
off for about six days. I've so many things I want to share
with you about how much bigger God can dream and do than I
could ever imagine. (Eph 3:20 Amplified rocks!)
Anyway, I read "Exciting Ephesians" in December 1996, right
after we started corresponding. I've held your insights on
God's Word close ever since Geraldine sent me the book order
from California.
For the past week I've been working on a new web site...
While sitting at my computer working on the site, I've been
totally blessed by listening to you, Norman Campbell, your
bride Vivien and Dan Stone on inChristradio.net. I've listened
to your RealAudio on peterwade.com before but never hit the
inChristradio.net link; boy did I ever miss a lot! Peter, over
the years, I have been absolutely blessed by you through your
books and audio teachings. -- David (WordHog.com).
I want to thank the Spirit of Christ Jesus that was showed me
when I read the book written by our Brother Peter Wade. When I
read his book then I went and read the Book of Ephesians
through 4 times straight 21 days each time and the change that
has come over my Spirit is just out of this world. I have
victory inside my temple now that only Jesus Christ could
bring me into. May the PEACE of Christ JESUS fill you to
running over. HE is LIFE. -- Joe.
Hi to the Peter Wade ministries. Firstly, I have never enjoyed
the teachings of a "believers websight" more than this. I have
been so 'enlightened' filled with great teaching and prompted
to deeper places in God through teachings such as Oneness in
Christ from Hannah Smith; she inspires me to become a 'woman
of God' becoming 'one with Christ' like I've never understood
before. Also many other teachings on "In Christ" I have spent
much time dwelling and growing in...
I wanted to thank you so much for your response to my
question. It was exactly what I was looking for. My heart
rejoiced and lifted up thanksgiving to God for that
understanding. I will be reading and growing on into the
deeper things of the mysteries of God along with you fellow
saints in Christ. -- Rebecca.
Haven't been on the Web for months, but as usual yours is the
first place I go and it's always a blessing -- specially for
us Generic Christians! -- Denise.
Thanks for your wonderful web page and info. I know I can
always get fed online if I visit here. God bless you for the
time and money you put into your ministry. Because of HIM --
Sue
