Good and Acceptable and Perfect
"And be not conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the will of God -- good and acceptable and perfect" (Romans 12:2)
How thankful I am that God’s will for me is good, it is well-pleasing, and it is perfect. God’s will is good, because my Father has nothing but good for His children. The will of God is acceptable, well-pleasing, because God’s purpose in providing the best for me is so that I will bring pleasure and glory to Him. And the will of God is perfect, for God is perfect and His guidance for me must also be perfect.
In Romans 12:2, the foundational verse for renewing my mind, I am told to renew the mind I have. I did not receive a new mind when I received the Lord Jesus Christ as my Savior. Yet God provided me with an accurate source of knowledge, because He knew that the world would fill me with worldly knowledge. He gave me His eternal Word -- sure, steadfast and unchanging.
Renewing my mind is a continuous walking on the Word of God. When I study God’s Word and act upon it, I no longer have to guess about what to think or do. God’s Word is always right and my senses are often wrong. As I learn God’s Word, I learn to rely on God, not the world, day by day -- a continuous action.
There can be no doubt what is required of me. God commands me not to conform to this world, but be transformed by renewing my mind. Why? Because I must prove what is God’s will -- good and acceptable and perfect. (From "Renewing Your Mind", Chapter 3, by Peter Wade, adapted by Hildy Matthews.)
Affirmation: Today I will study God’s Word, my foundation and my guide, and learn more about how God wants me to think and act. With joy I thank God for His will for me, because I know I can test or prove it by acting on my renewed mind.

New Book Policy
If you have viewed our home page over the last couple of weeks, you would have noticed our new book policy. We have been wanting to make this change for a long while and now we have the coding finished.
Because we want you to have your own copy of Peter Wade's various books, single copies of one or more books are now available on the basis of a gift of any amount to Positive Words. (This does not apply to our CDs at this time.)
Here's how to request your copies...
* To give via PayPal in a number of currencies, just click on the special link on our Home Page and send a gift. Tell us which titles you want in the "Message" section. It's just that simple!
* If you have a US checking account, you can use our online ordering system on our Books/CDs page, and fill in the amount of your gift at the checkout.
* Or you can print out our order form from the same page and mail your gift (US or Australian dollars only).
Why are we using this method? Because the Scripture says, "It is more blessed to give than to receive" (Acts 20:35), for it is more productive. God multiplies the seed sown (II Corinthians 9:10), but nothing multiplied still equals nothing! So you need to give to take your foot off the hose! [Offer available while stocks last].
Audio CDs and Cassettes
Our cassette duplicator is out of action and we have removed all cassette series from sale. We have also made the decision to transfer all teachings to CDs, in both MP3 format and normal audio CDs. This process will, of course, take some time.
We are currently working on releasing the "Dead to Sin and Alive to God" conference teachings by Peter Wade. The MP3 version will also include Vivien Wade's teaching on Ephesians, and several bonus teachings by Peter Wade.
Most computers produced in the last five years can play MP3 files through the computer's audio system. However, if you are serious about Bible study, you should consider getting a portable or home MP3 disc-based player, such as a portable "Walkman" type CD player with MP3 playback capability and a car adaptor. This will free you from the computer room and you can listen and study anywhere. You can also listen on one of the newer DVD console players with MP3 playback capability. Being able to get up to 10 hours or more on one full-sized CD-ROM disk is the great advantage of the MP3 format, and of course there is a huge cost saving to the user over regular CDs.
